Met with Andre Serpoosh and had a wonderful experience. He was professional and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him. Best experience I’ve had buying a car.
If you buy from Kyle Raftery don't expect a call back, that's how they deal with former customers. I didn't buy from another porsche dealer they call me more. Does that make sense?
Worst service ever! Go anywhere else. No response from management regarding denting my car or installing Bluetooth & phone that does not work!
PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW AND DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE BEFORE AUTHORIZING WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! Last week I had a coolant leak that made my 2017 Macan inoperable. I had the car towed to the Porsche Carlsbad dealership late on Thursday afternoon and late on Friday afternoon we were told that the repairs, which were described as replacing the coolant bottle, hose and cap, would cost $3,500.00. When asked for additional details we were told it was a 7-man hour job and given vague responses. We were also told that the "Shutter System" needed to be repaired for $1,700.00, even though there was not any indication it was not working . We did not authorize any work to be done until we received a detailed quote which we never received before the end of the day. On Monday morning I had the car towed to an independent foreign car mechanic who specializes in Porsches and has many 5-star reviews across all review sites. After doing a thorough inspection of the car, all they found that was needed was to replace a cracked coolant bottle, period. The total cost of the inspection, parts and labor was $385.00. I can't begin to fathom the amount of people who are taken advantage of and don't know to question what appears to be an unreasonable quote. I don't know if this is because I am a woman and acknowledge that I don't know anything about cars. Always get a detailed quote and shop your repairs. There are amazing service specialists out there who can provide reasonable rates.
Good but when you buy a nice car they are done with you. Sales Kyle Raftery basically ignores my email so I have to be deceptive and email someone else to ask a question. Sean Pruno in service is great but this dealership seems "quiet" once you buy the car. San Diego Miramar Porsche seems to give me more attention.
I just took my Porsche to a dealership 90 miles away for service. A world of difference between Porsche Riverside and Porsche Carlsbad. Porsche Riverside actually welcomes your business. The sales department at Carlsbad acts like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you, just like their service department. I believe you can get more bang for your buck at other dealerships too. I found the dealership in El Paso,TX, also much more welcoming than Carlsbad. I started with Carlsbad, but they won't be getting my business in the foreseeable future. What a shame it was really a great dealership about 10 years ago.
Horrible customer service. Don’t go here if you need any follow up or info on your new purchase because once they have your money they are pretty much done with you!
Susan at Hoehn Porsche is the most honest and sincere service person I've ever worked with. I won't take my car anywhere else because of her.
First class service and knowledgeable mechanics. A truly professional experience from start to finish. Service Manager, Shaun Puno, took the time to confirm the work was done correctly.
Had a scheduled appointment for my 80,000 mile service. On my way there had an issue with the cooling system so I asked them to diagnose this as well. My car was checked in as the wrong model just as others have reported. I called them to have them fix it but they said it was a default and it didn’t matter. Well now my service records look strange... The service was performed as expected, I hope, because they said my cooling tank had a crack which cause my cooling issue. We have our own mechanic so when the car was serviced I was having it towed to my mechanic. When I picked up the car the sales guy drove the car to the front even though I told him there was a cooling issue and the car was being towed. As you could guess, fluid went all over the engine compartment and the driveway. Once at our mechanic he found that not only was the cooling tank cracked but the water pump needed to be replaced as well. Quite a different diagnosis. After this ordeal the service manager called and emailed me requesting that I return the documents that were given to me because it was their copy for their records. I came down the next day to return the documents only to find out that what I had was correct. So apparently they lost their records of my service. I also let them know about the misdiagnosis. He just said he’d talk to the guys. Didn’t sound too convincing to me. Find another Porsche dealer!
I have been a customer of Hoehn Porsche since 2005. I have purchased 3 Porches. My life has never been the same. I currently own a 2009 Turbo Cabriolet. Worth every penny. I have had this car serviced at Hoehn for the past 9 years. The car has 106,000 miles. The service department is excellent. Sal and his team are the best. Quality, timely service at a fair price. Brian D. Greenberg, Esq.
I relocated to Encinitas two years ago bringing my 2014 Porsche which I took to Hoehn Porsche for routine service. Susan Turner, Service Coordinator, is the absolute BEST! Pleasant; concise; thorough. When the car developed a small noise, Susan spoke to the Service Manager who immediately diagnosed the source and ordered repair. I need a salesman once every few years. I need a service shop for routine service 2-3 times a year, so I buy where based on the quality of service. Hoehn has the BEST service I've ever experienced!!
Sal Rivas is always on top of required service and bends over backwards to complete the work on time at the lowest cost. He works closely with Chris Strole in sales to make a new car purchase a comprehensive and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Jeff Corral is an awesome Tech advisor! I have serviced my 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera since purchasing in 2016. Jeff’s knowledge of the Porsche brand is impeccable!
On the 14th of December after a service at Hoehn I received an unsolicited email asking me to review the dealership. The email said, if I was unhappy in any way, to contact them first. It gave me the email of both the General Manager and the Service Manager. This is the email I sent. The Service Manager email bounced back. I assume the GM received this. I included my name and cell number in the email. Since no one followed up with me, I am now accepting their invitation to post a review. The body of my email is included for your viewing pleasure. “Gentlemen You may or not be aware, but Porsche Dealership Service gets a very bad rap on PCA, Rennlist and other forums. Unfortunately my experience with your service department didn’t do anything to improve that perception. I had a flat recently, luckily less than a mile from your dealership. I was towed to your service and was checked in for a flat fix. 1. The tech checked my 2007 911 Turbo in as a GT3; thanks for the upgrade, but doesn’t the VIN tell you what I’m driving? 2. The next day he explained how I needed to pay $25 per wheel extra to have my “center lock” wheels removed ... sorry wrong model. 5 lugs per wheel ... take them off enough to know that by heart. 3. I also asked that they check an intermittent start problem. I told the tech this had been diagnosed by my mechanic as a problem with the key recognition module and that only a Dealer could address the issue. Your department responded that it was simply a loose battery cable and low charge on the battery. Tightened and charged. Funny, car still starts intermittently. 4. Car was returned “washed,” but not really. More like hosed off. In the end, I paid $1200 for two new rear tires, an alignment and a repair that didn’t fix the ignition problem even though I was very clear what had been previously diagnosed. They did a thorough inspection of a variety of other items like brakes and the clutch slave cylinder that need attention ... but at this point I’m afraid NOT BY Hoehn. Side note; i was told by your tech the car has a lowering kit on it and and the alignment could not be brought into spec. Since I am not the original owner, this doesn’t come as a surprise, except .... I brought the car into Hoehn before I bought it and had paid for a Pre Purchase Inspection and that was never mentioned. Only that I should replace the aftermarket wheels with Porsche OEM. So is it a surprise that yours and other dealerships get such bad press on the Forums? Ultimately, regarding your email about my service experience ... I doubt you want me giving reviews on any public forums What’s a Porsche owner to do? I’m sorry for the obvious sarcasm and attitude of my email but guys ... YOU’RE SUPPOSED to be the ultimate authority on these automobiles and yet I feel like no one took the time to properly diagnose and repair what actually was going on. The “lowering” issue was icing on the cake - what did I pay for when I got the Pre Purchase Inspection? Recommendations on buying more parts from Hoehn? This is why the number 1 search on the forums is “reputable service,” because despite selling the creme dela creme of performance, we’re made to feel like free bags of cash when we walk into the service department. Now I’m ranting. My apologies.”
Wonderful service, they work together as a team and help each other solve your car's issues. They are the best - thanks! I will be back.
Took my car in because my coolant level had gotten extremely low. I was expecting to hear news that it would be a big repair bill. Service advisor, Jeff, had the technicians look things over and ultimately it was a small issue that Hoehn Porsche covered. The technician even took time out to speak with me about another random question that I had about the performance of my car. Would be happy to recommend Hoehn Porsche service department to any Porsche owner. You'll get honest answers.
All my experiences with Hoen Porsche have been extremely positive. The sales department was very friendly, helpful, and expeditious when I bought my Cayenne....and no pressure! The service I have had done so far could not have been better. All the service advisors I've worked with have been exceedingly knowledgeable. The work done on my car could not have gone better.
I appreciate being able to get in for service and on my way expediently. It's nice to be able to count on that! Thanks!
The top on my Boxster S wouldn't move and the problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed quicker than promised for the price quoted. I also received a new loaner Porsche for the duration. Susan was professional and pleasant to work with. It was great seeing Shaun again. He is the definition of Service Manager!
The service managed by Jeff Corral at this dealership is exemplary. Jeff was helpful, informative and responses to inquiries promptly. He had the paperwork and the loaner car ready upon my arrival.
I have had a porsche since the early seventies. When it was time to replace my last one, I went to Momentum Porsche, my Houston dealership in Houston to find a new car. Being very familiar with the brand, I knew exactly what I wanted, which is to say, I knew how to get the most car for my money. Unfortunately that apperantely made me an undesirable customer as they prefer to sell to much less informed customers, for whom the only reason they are buying a Porsche is because of the brand recognition, and for whom BMW has now lost its cache. For me it was quite the opposite. The brand in my opinion, because of the new customer, has lost its cache but the understated quality remains unparalleled, and that is the only reason I was going to stay with the brand. Itherefore proceeded to make a national search, and found the perfect car at Hoehn Porsche. Roger Wood was extremely helpful in organizing and making the entire process of purchasing and shipping the car to me within a week. I would highly recommend This dealership and Roger in particular. Thank you.
Incredibly bad experience on my first routine scheduled service appointment at Hoehn Porsche It took 2 weeks to get me in. ON MY DRIVE into the dealership on day of appointment, I get an email saying it would be better to reschedule to Monday (4days later). They were apparently short staffed and had a poor selection of loaners. I replied that I was 10 minutes away. Service advisor calls immediately and says okay. Come in still. The estimate was higher than I was quoted on phone by $200. Was told it was a mistake. Get loaner car... beat on Infinity despite being told I’d get a Cayenne when I set up appointment. I leave, get 10 miles down road to work and the low gas light comes on. Naturally I’m running to a meeting and can’t stop. Then tire pressurer indicator pops on. Was supposed to get car end of day. I don’t get it until end of next day despite it being a routine service. Also they told me I needed an additional brake flush $250+. Breaks still squeak after.. assuming I got taken. Disorganized. Time consuming. Stressful. Poor communication. Hoehn Porsche
We began our search for a new SUV at Porsche San Diego. After dealing with a rude and arrogant salesman we had all but written off the brand. However, after testing Audi, Jaguar and Mercedes, none compared in quality, performance and esthetics to the Macan GTS. Our next visit to a Porsche dealership was Hoehn Porsche, Carlsbad. We were delighted by the no-pressure, courteous, informed assistance of every Hoehn representative and our sales team (Kyle, Roger and Matt). This was unequivocally the best sales experience we’ve encountered and will plan to drive the extra distance for our scheduled service appointments.
Porsche service can be variable in San Diego, and at Hoehn Porsche, Sal has always given me great service. He listens when I tell him something isn't going well, he takes his time to explain possible fixes, arranges loaners without any kerfluffle. And many car dealer service guys don't take women seriously, and he does. I loved purchasing my Porsche there and the after sale service and advice has been consistently courteous, prompt, and the fixes get done. Service is the best!
